Garlic & Pepper Prawn Roast.

A spicy and refreshing meal with prawn with wonderful flavours of garlic and pepper!Whatever with prawns is yum for us.I love the smell while cooking prawns or any other sea food,especially when it's frying.right ya?




For preparing this the prawns are first marinated and fried and then mix it with some spicy cooked gravy.Here spicy food are alwz welcome and if its in prawns no doubt the dish will be wiped off.hehe!



Ingredients

For marination
  • 1/4 kg prawns /12 big
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • small piece onion
  • 2 red chilly
  • 1 tspn pepper
  • 1/2 tspn turmeric
  • 1 tspn lemon
  • Salt to taste
For gravy
  • 1 tblspn fried oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • small piece ginger
  • 1 green chilly
  • 1 tspn pepper powder
  • lots of curry leaves
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 large omato or 2 tspn tomato paste
  • 1 tspn coriander powder
  • 1 tspn lemon juice
  • Some coriander leave
Note : Adjust the heat according to your taste buds!

Method

  1. First grind all the ingredients under marination and marinate the prawns for at least 1/2 an hour.It will taste better if  marinate it for longer time.
  2.  In a pan pour oil and shallow fry the prawns and keep it aside.
  3. In same oil splutter curry leaves ,green chilly ,garlic,pepper and ginger and saute.Add chopped onion and salt cook until the onions are soft.Then add tomatoes stir and cook for a while.Then add coriander powder cook the masalas by adding some water.Lastly add the fried prawns in it and pour 1/2 cup water and let it simmer for 5 minutes.Pour lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
Note : If you want it with gravy add more water to the dish.I used it with gravy.
